Elder Haskell is interesting. He has
arthritis in both of his knees and a messed up back from riding rodeo
horses (the ones that buck all the time) so he has to wear knee braces
on both knees. He is also literrally the slowest person at doing
anything. We got home from a district meeting yesterday and it took him
and hour and 20 minutes to get ready and back out the door. I got a good
nap in so I'm not really complaining, but I just don't understand. He's
also really quiet. but the district and I are working on opening him up. He
is a really good teacher though. We've had some crazy experiences with a
couple of our investigators already. Mike told us yesterday that he's
pretty close to converting; he just has some questions. He's also gottta
quit smoking and drinking. I feel like he truly is close. I've dropped
investigators before and it was a feeling like yeah we should drop this
person. And I don't get that feeling from Mike so I think God's really
working hard on him. I'm excited for this transfer! We're going to
buckle down and work hard and make success.
Pray for Angelita, one of our investigators. She's getting
pretty sick.
I think that's it!
Love you guys!
Elder Sherwood
