Happy 4th! No didn't really do anything fun haha. We went in at 8 instead of 9. There was a ward breakfast we went to but it was just muffins and a little message tying the restoration of the Gospel into the founding of the U.S. We were doing service until about 8 for this new investigator we picked up and then a member ordered us pizza and we took it down to Elder George and Raddon's apartment and signed journals because Elder George is leaving. I'm staying by the way. I'll spend pretty much my first year in 2 areas. It's a long time but I'm ok with it. Hopefully we'll be able to see some success before I leave.
Have
you seen these before? They grow on palm trees as these pods and when
they open they look like that and attract bees like crazy. The new
investigator we picked up whose name is Debbie has one of those in her
neighbor's back yard. She's really upset about it and has done
everything from asking her neighbor to cut it down, offering her
gardener to her to cut it down, and now to talking to the HOA and the
police to make her cut it down. She's allergic to bees so it's kind of
understandable. But she wants us to get involved and write statements
for her and we can't do that. It's kind of stressful for us so hopefully
they'll work it out.
We picked up 2 other investigators so yeah the works picking up a bit.
Um I can't think of anything else.
Anyway, happy 4th of July
Miss you guys!
Love you !
Elder Sherwood
