July 25, 2016

This week was good. It was literally just a bunch of service. I've told you about the farm we work on right? We spent most of the week working there because TJ's land lord surprise screwed her over right before she went out of town for a family reunion and told her she had to move all of her horse pens/corals to the back of the farm. So we spent 3 full days taking apart her pens and fences and moving them to the back of the farm. Did she contact you? she said she wanted to get your facebook so she could tag photos of me on the farm for you. Work wise not much happened. We had some good member visits and are starting to gain a little momentum (as in people inviting their friends to their FHE or activities, not necessarily anything to do with us), so hopefully that can turn into solid referrals.

I forwarded you some pictures of the mansion we went to a couple weeks ago.

Ha everyone's jamming out to 21 pilots? That's kind of funny. I miss music....
That's all I can think of right now

Love you!

July 18, 2016

Yeah, we've been seeing people all over wandering around with their phones. The missionaries, myself included, are convinced this is where the world ends, because of Pokemon Go.

This week was good. We're seeing a lot of members we haven't met yet, and we've been doing little service projects here and there. We're trying to gain trust/inspire the members to invite their friends to church, FHE, etc. It's a struggle. The only investigator we saw this week was Debbie. She's still going to go to court with her neighbor even though she cut the bee thing down. There's no winning. I think that's why God led us to her. So we can use the Gospel to keep these two ladies from killing each other. Or something. Still working on the whole having patience thing. I really hope I don't have to stay in my next area for 6 months. It's exhausting, especially when there's very little work going on.

Love you guys!

July 10, 2016

Things are pretty swell. Nothing much happened this week. We are trying to get into more members home and help get them to do missionary work, and feel comfortable with missionaries. We are still working with Debbie (bee lady) and I think if she just throws herself into reading and prayer that she will accept the Gospel. She's an atheist but says she is going to put that on hold and see if this is really true. So pray for her and hopefully she'll let the Spirit in and be willing to change.  It's still pretty hot, but I don't think it's broken 100 lately.

I hope Dad feels better!

Happy Free Slurpy Day!
Love you guys!

July 5, 2016
Happy 4th! No didn't really do anything fun haha. We went in at 8 instead of 9. There was a ward breakfast we went to but it was just muffins and a little message tying the restoration of the Gospel into the founding of the U.S. We were doing service until about 8 for this new investigator we picked up and then a member ordered us pizza and we took it down to Elder George and Raddon's apartment and signed journals because Elder George is leaving. I'm staying by the way. I'll spend pretty much my first year in 2 areas. It's a long time but I'm ok with it. Hopefully we'll be able to see some success before I leave.

Have you seen these before? They grow on palm trees as these pods and when they open they look like that and attract bees like crazy. The new investigator we picked up whose name is Debbie has one of those in her neighbor's back yard. She's really upset about it and has done everything from asking her neighbor to cut it down, offering her gardener to her to cut it down, and now to talking to the HOA and the police to make her cut it down. She's allergic to bees so it's kind of understandable. But she wants us to get involved and write statements for her and we can't do that. It's kind of stressful for us so hopefully they'll work it out.

We picked up 2 other investigators so yeah the works picking up a bit.

Um I can't think of anything else.

Anyway, happy 4th of July
Miss you guys!
Love you !
